Everything We Know About Chris Tomlin's "The King Is Still The King"

Chris Tomlin

Grammy® Award-winning worship leader and songwriter Chris Tomlin has announced the release of his highly anticipated new album, The King Is Still The King, arriving Friday, September 26, 2025 via Evergreen Music LP, under exclusive license to Capitol CMG, Inc. The project marks Tomlin's 18th studio album and follows his appearance on Fox & Friends' All-American Summer Concert Series, where he first shared the news with fans nationwide.

The album is a joyful declaration of God's eternal reign, weaving Scripture, creation, and worship into a vibrant collection of songs. Its lead single, How Good It Is, co-written by Tomlin alongside Jess Cates and Jordan Mohilowski, is already resonating with listeners for its Psalm-inspired lyrics and unifying call to proclaim God's word together. The record also features collaborations with Phil Wickham (He Has Done Great Things), Ben Fielding (The First Hymn), and Aodhán King, Jamie MacDonald, and CalledOut Music (My Father's World).

Reflecting on the project, Tomlin said, "This album is a celebration of who God is - not only in the lyrics, but even in the sounds and textures that remind us of His creation: the rain, the thunder, the birds, the waves. The King has never changed. He's still on the throne."

Alongside the album, Tomlin is launching a 20-city U.S. tour, An Evening of Worship with Chris Tomlin, beginning September 17 in Buffalo, New York. The tour will bring these new songs - along with his beloved classics - to churches and arenas across the country.

For more than two decades, Chris Tomlin has been one of the most influential artists in Christian music, with songs like How Great Is Our God, Good Good Father, and Our God sung by millions in churches around the globe. His music has amassed more than 5 billion global streams, 17 No. 1 singles, a Grammy Award, 23 Dove Awards, and numerous BMI Songwriter of the Year honors. TIME magazine once heralded him as "the most often sung artist anywhere."

The King Is Still The King is now available for pre-save and pre-add across streaming platforms.
