Forrest Frank & Cory Asbury Announce “Halftime for Heaven” — A Christian Worship Alternative to the Super Bowl Halftime Show

Christian recording artists Forrest Frank and Cory Asbury have announced plans for Halftime for Heaven, a large-scale, family-friendly worship concert designed to run alongside the Super Bowl halftime broadcast. The initiative aims to provide a spiritually centered alternative to the mainstream halftime spectacle, offering families and viewers an experience that glorifies God while maintaining high production values and entertainment quality.
While the Super Bowl halftime show attracts one of the largest global audiences each year, Frank and Asbury believe that many viewers are left uncomfortable by provocative visuals, lyrics, and themes. Asbury described typical halftime shows as including elements that clash with Christian values, and the duo hopes their event will create a safe, uplifting space for all ages. "We want to glorify the name of Jesus on a massive platform, without compromising on decency or message," said Forrest Frank. "This is for families, kids, and anyone who wants something pure and powerful in the middle of one of the biggest events of the year," added Cory Asbury.
The concept for Halftime for Heaven includes a large stadium or arena with full concert staging, lighting, and video production. The event is intended to be streamed live globally through YouTube, Christian networks, and church streaming platforms, allowing audiences around the world to participate in real time. The concert will feature top Christian artists, including Frank and Asbury, performing contemporary worship, gospel-pop, and acoustic worship sets, with no explicit or provocative content. In addition to music, short segments of testimony and encouragement are planned to inspire viewers spiritually while maintaining a celebratory atmosphere.
This initiative builds on Forrest Frank's growing profile in the Christian music world. After a near-miraculous recovery from a skateboarding accident in July 2025, Frank released viral worship songs such as "God's Got My Back" and "Lemonade", which resonated widely with audiences. He has also collaborated with Asbury on the song "Misunderstood", part of the deluxe edition of his Child of God II album. These experiences, along with conversations around faith and culture, inspired the idea for a positive alternative to mainstream entertainment.
Frank and Asbury are now inviting Christian artists, churches, ministries, and streaming networks to participate in the event. They are also seeking technical and broadcast partners with experience in large-scale live streaming and global distribution, as well as sponsors and donors to help underwrite production and promotion costs. "This isn't about rejecting culture, but redeeming opportunity," said Asbury. "During the week, I want people to say, 'I tuned in to worship at halftime.'"
The first Halftime for Heaven event is tentatively planned for the 2026 Super Bowl, with preparations underway to secure venues, finalize artist lineups, and launch marketing efforts in early 2026. Additional updates will be released via social media, press announcements, and ministry networks.
