Ryan Stevenson Makes His Grand Ole Opry Debut
GRAMMY® Award-nominated, Dove Award-winning Gotee recording artist Ryan Stevenson marked another milestone in his acclaimed career with his recent debut on the Grand Ole Opry. The singer/songwriter performed his Gold-selling #1 hit "Eye of the Storm," along with "Speak Life," the GRAMMY®-nominated TobyMac chart-topper co-written by Stevenson. The Oregon native and former paramedic shared with the Opry audience how the creation of "Speak Life" was a pivotal moment in his journey, leading to his longstanding relationship with Gotee Records and a string of hit singles.
Along with Stevenson, the Friday night Opry show featured a lineup of legends and superstars, including Grand Ole Opry members Ricky Skaggs, The Whites, Jeannie Seely and Vince Gill; Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Deana Carter; and breakout traditionalist Zach Top.
Earlier that day, Stevenson appeared on WSM Radio/Circle Network's "Coffee, Country and Cody" morning show, where he world-premiered "Rich," a moving ballad he recently co-wrote.
Stevenson's music has provided a soundtrack of hope and encouragement for listeners around the world for more than a decade. Co-writer of TobyMac's 2014 GRAMMY®-nominated #1 hit "Speak Life," Stevenson was further propelled into the spotlight with his own Gold-certified, Dove Award-winning 2016 chart-topper "Eye of the Storm," which held the top spot at Christian radio for 16 weeks and has garnered more than 40 million streams to date on Spotify.
A Pacific Northwest native who spent seven years as a paramedic before signing with Gotee Records in 2013, Stevenson's acclaimed discography includes Fresh Start (2015), No Matter What (2018), and Wildest Dreams (2020), among other releases. Known for such radio favorites as "No Matter What" (feat. Bart Millard), "Amadeo (Still My God)," and "When We Fall Apart" (feat. Vince Gill & Amy Grant), Stevenson's music has achieved six #1 Billboard charting radio singles (four as an artist or featured artist and two as a co-writer).
He has toured with top artists including TobyMac, MercyMe and Newsboys, and Stevenson is the author of Eye of the Storm: Experiencing God When You Can't See Him (Harvest House). Host of the "Weathering the Storm" Podcast on K-LOVE's AccessMore, Stevenson's guests have included Amy Grant, TobyMac, MercyMe's Bart Millard and The Shack author Paul Young, among many others.
