Ariana Grande 2015 North American Tour Dates Announced, Singer Talks Mariah Carey Comparisons 'A Great Honor'
Ariana Grande has had a busy last month performing the national anthem to kick off he 2014 NFL football season in Seattle and heading to Australia to perform on "The X Factor".
Grande released her sophomore album, My Everything, last month on August 25. She has been compared by many as the next Mariah Carey and much of her music even resembles the pop/r&b sounds of the 90's.
Grande opened up to US Weekly about the Mariah comparison. "Mariah has been a huge influence on me since I was a little girl," she shares. "I've even done a cover of one of her songs. I don't think there are any negatives to being compared to one of the greatest vocalists of all time. It's honestly a great honor."
Grande has just announced the tour dates for her upcoming 2015 North American Tour kicking off on Feb. 25th in Kansas City, MO and running through April 16th in Vancouver, BC. You can check out the full dates below.
Grande won 'Best New Artist of the Year' at the American Music Awards 2013 and her debut album Yours Truly has opened to huge success releasing the singles "The Way," "Baby, I," and "Right There". The album went to No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts.
