Hawaii Five-0 Season 5 spoilers and latest news: McGarrett Meets a New Love Interest in his Father's Grave, or is it just a Lady Friend?
Hawaii Five-0 Season 5 plot mentions Steve McGarrett meeting a lady friend at the cemetery during his father's death anniversary. This lady friend will become a new cast in the tv series, much more like a character arc that was planned.
"After [John] died, this woman, on the anniversary of his death, always shows up at his grave to basically thank him for everything he had done," said executive producer Peter Lenkov.
"Everybody's selling it as a love interest, but really it's a friendship," Lenkov told TV Line. "McGarrett meets a woman on the anniversary of his father's death, and they share the common trauma of both losing a parent very early on. And that's going to play into an arc."
As we all know McGarrett had a longstanding relationship with Catherine Rollins. In the season 4 finale, Steve says that her mission to rescue Najib, a member of a family in Afghanistan who saved her life years ago, will prevent her from returning to Hawaii. Thus, the look out for Steve's new love interest or shall we say lady friend.
Hawaii Five-0 Season 5 release date will be on September 26.
