New Girl Season 4 Latest News; Jessica Biel to Guest Star in an Episode Plus Other News

Jessica Biel is going back to where she started - on television.

In one of the New Girl Season 4 episodes, the residents of Apartment 4D dare each other on who can go home with a stranger from a wedding they go to. The former "7th Heaven" regular will guest star as Kat, a hot scientist; Mrs. Justin Timberlake will reportedly give the series main character, Jess, tough competition as they vie for the same guy's attention.  

Jess is played by "500 Days of Summer" actress Zooey Deschanel.

With this stor line, fans can conclude that Jess is still single and not romantically okay with boyfriend-slash-roommate Nick (played by Jake Johnson). The two broke up towards the end of the third season.

Things will definitely take an interesting turn in New Girl season 4 as Jess and Nick now live under one roof, but as exes.

In an interview with Variety, Deschanel says, "The thing that is exciting about it is we have a history with these characters."

"I think these characters are so good in conflict. In season 4 we have two people who are single, who are living together with a history, who love each other underneath, and then they have to watch each other date people and there's all this possibility."

Talking about the TV couple, New Girl series creator Liz Meriwether said, "I love them together and I don't think it's it for them at all." 

Fans of the series can also look forward to seeing more of ex-couple Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece (Hannah Simone) and almost-a-couple Cece and Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.).

Catch the New Girl Season 4 premiere on September 16.
