New Trailer for "Testament," a Series Bringing to Life the Acts of the Apostles, is Out Now!

Angel, the film & TV platform curated by over one million members of the Angel Guild, is thrilled to announce the release of a gripping new trailer for its Angel Original series Testament. The highly anticipated series, created by Paul Syrstad, will premiere on Pentecost, June 8, 2025, exclusively on the Angel platforms.
"Like the original film, Testament has been incredibly well received by the Angel Guild," said Jordan Harmon, President of Angel. "Our hope is that this series, which vividly reimagines the Book of Acts, will captivate audiences in an entirely fresh way."
Testament is a bold, modern retelling of the Book of Acts of the Apostles. Featuring a stellar cast, the series brings to life the early days of the Christian church with powerful performances, rich storytelling, and a contemporary lens that resonates with audiences today. The series stars Eben Figueiredo as Saul, Charlie Beaven as Stephen, Mogali Masuku as Mary of Magdala, Tom Simper as Peter, Stuart Scudamore as Gamaliel, Yasmin Paige as Mara, and brothers Kenneth and John Omole as the brothers of thunder, John and James Zebedee.
"We've seen stories about the early Church before, but never quite like this," says Paul Syrstad, who also serves as the director. "Testament captures the spiritual and human struggle of Acts - but in a time that feels just close enough to our own to unsettle you, all whilst staying true to the Biblical account. It's raw, emotional, and ultimately hopeful."
