Comedian Michael Jr. is "Bringin' The Funny....Stand Up & Be Encouraged" Tour to Select Cities

With appearances on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, Oprah, The Late Late Show, BET's ComicView, and Jimmy Kimmel Live, to name a few, Michael Jr. is hailed as one of today's most gifted comics. This month, the celebrated comedian will embark on his "Bringin' The Funny.... Stand Up & Be Encouraged" tour to audiences in select cities. The tour will kick off in Elk Grove, Calif. on August 28 and will carry through to Redford, Mich. on November 20. See full list of tour dates below.
The show is fun and appropriate for the whole family, with tickets at an affordable $20 each. His clean yet fresh approach by using everyday life occurrences, creates a hilarious interaction with the audience that is unscripted and unplanned. Each show is sure to not only bring laughter, but encouragement. This hopeful, honest and hilarious style of comedy, will leave audiences inspired to give and serve others. Additionally, surprises will take place during the critically acclaimed comedian's highly anticipated "Break Time" that shouldn't be missed.
"My goal with this tour is to get people to act," explains the stand-up comedian. "I always want to make people laugh, but then what? You see, in comedy we have a set up and then a punch line, and it is the same with life. We go through our days looking at how we advance our career, how we grow and support our family but we often forget the punch line: the delivery of life. I want people to think about what they are giving out to others and encourage them to step out and help others and make a difference."
Michael Jr. has shared the stage with international sensations including Tyler Perry, Oprah, Dave Ramsey, George W. Bush and Ed Catmull (co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios/President of Walt Disney Animation Studios), just to name a few. The Grand Rapids native has entertained audiences across the board from performing in homeless shelters, prisons and abused children's facilities to national Christian events such as Catalyst Conference, Gateway Church to major network talk shows. Most recently, he made his film debut in the No.1 box office hit War Room. Michael Jr. is a man comfortable on any stage with material clean enough to work in churches, funny enough to work in clubs.
