Hollyn Scores Her First #1 with "Alone" (Feat. TRU)

New Christian artist HOLLYN scores her first #1 song with her debut single "Alone (feat. TRU)." The song shot up to the top of the Hot AC/CHR chart in just six weeks. The debut single was co-written by Hollyn, TobyMac, producer Bryan Fowler and TRU.
Hollyn started her music recording career in 2013, with her appearance on season 12 of American Idol, where she made it to the Hollywood week rounds before she was eliminated. She first appeared on record on TobyMac's newest release with the songs "Lights Shine Bright" and "Backseat Driver," which she is also a co-writer. As a songwriter, Hollyn co-wrote five of the six tracks on her debut EP. It also features two tracks "Hey Mama" and "Nothin' On You," which were produced by the GRAMMY-winning production team of COBRA (Dirty Rice and Joseph Prielzony), who produced two tracks on the award winning album, Anomaly, from Lecrae. It also features a cover of Lecrae's Dove Award winning song, "All I Need Is You."
"Alone" has also received strong response on Spotify® since its debut as it was featured on the "Spotify Today's Top Hits" playlist. In addition the song charted on the United States Viral 50 and Global Viral 50 chart playlists as well as crossed a half million plays. HOLLYN was the only Christian-based artist featured on these lists. Hollyn released her six-song EP digitally earlier this fall. The EP will be an exclusive retail release at Lifeway Stores in early February.
She is currently on TobyMac's "This Is Not A Test" Tour with Britt Nicole and Colton Dixon that will be concluding this weekend on December 13 in Nashville. She will join the 2016 Air1/KLOVE TobyMac "Hits Deep Tour" beginning in February.
