Marvin Sapp Honors His Dead Wife's Birthday

Gospel artist Marvin Sapp took on Facebook to celebrate the birthday of his late wife recently with a heartfelt message."Today I celebrate the life of a phenomenal woman. My late wife Dr. MaLinda P. Sapp. Today would have been her 48th birthday," Sapp wrote. "@marvie_marv @maddyy.gracee @kaikai_sapp and I miss you greatly #RIH."
Sapp and his wife were the head pastors at Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, Mich., before she passed away. After being married to his wife for 20 years, Sapp spoke about the process of living without her. Sapp's wife MaLinda Sapp has passed on September 9th, 2010 after her second battle with colon cancer. Earlier in 2010, Marvin Sapp was testifying of how his wife, MaLinda, was given a clean bill of health by doctors after being diagnosed with Stage four colon cancer in 2009. But then, those health concerns resurfaced, and Marvin Sapp requested intense, around-the-clock prayer.
Back in April of 2009 Marvin Sapp's wife MaLinda went to the hospital after experiencing excruciating pain. At first, the two thought she likely had kidney stones. But according to Sapp, the doctors checked her and couldn't find any stones. In a recent interview he explained, "But the pain wouldn't leave, so they did some tests and came back to the room and told us it was stage four colon cancer."
Sapp raises his three children as a full time single father. "Every day is a new day. There are days when I get up and I cry, thinking of her," Sapp told Eurweb months after she died. "There are days thinking of her and I smile. There are days when I'm angry. Days that I'm not. ... We miss her."
"She was a wife that I planned on having for life," Sapp said previously. "It's still a process. It'll probably be a life-long process. No matter what happens in my future. Some things you just don't get over."
