Gotham TV Show Review, Recap And Latest Updates: Gordon Makes A Proposal To Oswald In An Attempt To Save Gotham City From An Impending War
We have a recap for Gotham season 1 episode 1 for the fans. In the fourth episode, which is titled Gotham, has James Gordon and Harvey Bullock investigating a hitman who is targeting Gotham City officials. Gotham has failed to capitalize on a potentially rich world of politics although it had a strong premise and an interesting start.
According to bamsmackpow, right after last week's episode, Oswald Cobblepot made an unexpected visit to Barbara Kean's apartment. After some exchanges, Gordon pretends that Oswald is an associate. Gordon has made a proposal to Oswald in order to save Gotham city from an impending war. Meanwhile at the parking lot, Councilman Jenkins is approached by a supposed constituent who turns out to be a hitman. He is actually carrying a stabbing weapon. He kills Jenkins and his bodyguard. On the next day, Captain Essen gives Gordon and Harvey the Jenkins's murder case. Harvey, with his usual finesse questions a common mugger, but Gordon already knows that that wasn't the guy they were after.
When Gordon went back to his desk, he found an evidence box which was filled with Jenkins's belongings. Gordon discusses with Alfred Pennyworth and realizes that Carmine Falcone took over the Wayne's plan after their deaths. Jenkins was supporting Falcone's plan and the only person who was strong enough to oppose Falcone is Maroni. The hitman has his last victim at the front gates of Arkham Asylum. The victim in this case is Councilman Zeller who was shackled inside an oil drum. Edward Nygma shows up later with his forensic findings and it is then drawn to a conclusion that both councilmen were killed by the same hitman.
Robbers steal bags full of cash at Maroni's restaurant and they even kill the restaurant's manager. As the robbers tried to escape, Maroni's men enter and find Oswald hiding in the refrigerator. He claims that he saved everything that he could. As the restaurant robbers counted their money, Oswald pays them a visit which reveals that the whole robbery was a set up. He hands them a box of cannolis as a gift.
Mayor James holds a press conference revealing a plan where Arkham district would have both housing and waste disposal site, and that Arkham Asylum would be retro-fitted and re-opened. The news is received by different reaction from the people who were in attendance of the conference. At the closing scene, Oswald leaves the robbers, who are now dead, poisoned from the cannolis and takes their bag of cash. Stay with us for more news.
