Galaxy Note 4 specifications and features have charmed the reviewers, however with the announcement of Google's Nexus 6 phablet, Samsung cannot rejoice just yet. In fact, before launching Note 4, Samsung Company already knew, that it has to compete against iPhone 6 Plus and other available big phablets to survive. Google Nexus 6 is another contender that it has to best. Below is a comparison for users to get a gist of which phone would suit their preferences.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has an impressive 5.7-inch display size with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The pixel density has already stroke the market as one of the best with 515 pixels per inch. The display type is Quad HD Super AMOLED. The Google Nexus 6 is decked with 5.96-inch display screen size and 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The display is just bigger than the Note 4 but Nexus 6 lacks the pixel density quality with 493 pixels per inch. Display type for Nexus 6 is Quad HD AMOLED.
Camera
Galaxy Note 4 is packed with a 16MP rear facing camera and 3.7MP front facing camera. The primary camera has built in Optical Image Stabilization with 4K video recording capability at 30 fps, 1080 p video at 60fps. The Nexus 6 clearly trails the camera segment with 13MP of rear facing camera and 2MP front facing camera. 4K video recording is also supported in Nexus 6. Dual LED flash, OIS, autofocus, touch focus, HDR, panorama, geo-tagging, face detection and many more common features are shared by both the devices, according to Phandroid.
Hardware
Both the phablets offer similar type hardware specifications that cannot be differentiated. Both the devices have Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with 2.7GHz Quad-Core processor. For gaming, both the devices has high standard Adreno 420GPU. Note 4 beats Nexus 6 in the memory department. Note 4 has provision for 32GB internal storage with 128GB expandable storage support while Nexus 6 only have 32GB/ 64GB internal storage model without any facility of microSD card slot according to GSMarena.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has the Android 4.4.4 KitKat as the operating system while Nexus 6 will probably be the first phablet to carry the Android 5.0 L(Lollipop), according to Techtimes.
The choice depends on the personal preferences and intended use of the buyers: both phones seem to be neck to neck in their specifications.
