Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation4, Release Date Confirmed, GT7 Won't be Another GT6, CEO Yamauchi and Team Working on a Better Gran Turismo
Polyphony Digital recently confirmed the release of Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation4 with a release date targeted at 2015 or 2016. Yes, that's a whole year of difference for a release date, but it's official.
The previous Gran Turismo 6 was released for PlayStation3 in December last year, and it left many gamer fans disappointed, despite the fact that the popular race game aimed to push its already-realistic driving experience even further with the PlayStation3 capabilities.
Yet, we have high hopes that this won't be the case with the upcoming PS4 Gran Turismo 7. The CEO of Polyphony Digital, Kazunori Yamauchi, commented during an interview with GamesTM:
"Everything will be running naturally, PS3 was much, much more difficult. The high quality of data that we have being rendered on the PS4 I think is going to make an incredible difference".
He also thinks it's going to be much easier to develop the upcoming game on PS4 than it has been for the previous PS3 version.
Yamauchi added, "For GT7, myself and my staff have a clear vision: to do everything we couldn't do in GT6. We want to make it very Gran Turismo. By that I mean it's going to be a game that matches the very era that we live in, in 2015 or 2016".
There is no doubt that the graphics are going to be great, as the previous ones have already done a great job at that.
For now, Gran Turismo fans can enjoy Sony's recently launched race-game "Drive Club".
