PlayStation TV Release News: Sony's New Microconsole Ready to Launch on October 14, 700 PS TV Games to Launch on Same Day, Features and Price of the Upcoming PlayStation TV
PlayStation TV is ready to launch in the US on October 14. What's more, fans can expect the PS TV to be released with almost 700 games on the same day.
The device was already released in Japan on November 14 last year, while other Southeast Asian countries received the device on January 16 this year. The device was named PS Vita TV. The gamers market received the new device with great reviews.
PlayStation TV is a microconsole that can be linked to your television using an HDMI cable, allowing you to download games from the PlayStation Store, and play without the traditional disc system. You can also download games from the upcoming 'PlayStation Now' streaming service that's about to launch with the PS TV.
PlayStation Plus members will receive more benefits, as they will be able to access the Instant Game Collection, get discounts at the PlayStation Store, and save games online, among others.
As for the price, the PlayStation TV will cost you $99.99.
Some of the games that will be available for the PlayStation TV during the launch are Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, Borderlands 2, the God of War collection, Rayman Origins, Twisted Metal, Killzone: Mercenary and so on.
If you visit the Walmart, you'll find the limited edition of the microconsole. It will come as a bundle pack, including a wireless DualShock 3 controller, The LEGO Movie game, and an 8GB memory card. The whole set will cost you $139.99.
