'Transformers': Discover the Age of Extinction
As the fourth film of the Michael Bay's Transformers hit theaters, many were excited as they will get to discover the age of extinction. But, there excitements were replaced with disappointments as this robot alien movie isn't exciting compared to the previous Transformers films.
As described by Our Windsor, "Transformers: Age of Extinction" is the regrettable fourth movie of the series as it is long, loud as well as really stupid. With the whole new cast of humans and other robots, featuring actor Mark Wahlberg as the lead replacing Shia LaBeouf, director Bay has rebooted his very own series. However, with the bloated running time of sixty-five minutes, he or screenwriter, Ehren Kruger, seems not to notice or understand about the noise. This is the property known for big explosions as well as clanking machinery, if it is what you really want, Age of Extinction has tons of it. As for genuine thrills, wit and intelligence, there is not so much in the movie.
However, according to Total Film, "Transformers: Age of Extinction" does start with a fresh ground as Sam Witwicky and Sam were out of the saga. Mark Wahlberg played the character of Cade Yeager who is an inventor struggling to support and raise his seventeen year old daughter named Tessa, portrayed by Nicola Peltz. The tender relationship of Cade Yeager and his daughter provides the film the heart, which is lacking from the previous Transformers films.
The problems of the film are serious and obvious. With its length, it is actually very long without comprehensible shape. The noise bothers many viewers. The combat is also too bloodthirsty but, branding fills each visual gap.
Nevertheless, Transformers has attitude and ambition in its pores. Bay shoots the cars like they are women and people like they are cars. He also shoots tossing of metals like it is made from thin air. Though the film is not what most have expected, for worse or better, it is what defines cinema during these days and you have to deal with it.
