Iron Man 4 Update: No Iron Man 4 For Now
Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. just gave fans good news after guesting in "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." He answered "yes" when asked if there was going to be a fourth Iron Man movie.
But in another interview with Robert Downey Jr. during his appearance in the "Late Show with David Letterman," he said there is still no script for the much-awaited "Iron Man 4."
However, the actor clarified that Marvel has a plan and will probably announce it once their ready. When Letterman asked again if there will be another Iron Man movie, Robert Downey Jr. said "no". But the actor did say that he is still going to do other projects with Marvel and there will be plenty more.
The actor also expressed his desire to cameo in the Marvel TV series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The series has been soaring in the ratings department and received good reviews from fans. It's now on its second season.
Aside from Marvel movies, Robert Downey Jr. is also known for two film adaptations, "Sherlock Holmes" and just recently, "The Judge."
The actor confirmed that there is a third Sherlock Holmes movie currently under wraps. The actor confirmed the Sherlock 3 sequel when he participated on a Reddit AMA. He also made a rather cryptic hint about the Marvel Roster. The list of confirmed upcoming Marvel movies will soon be revealed to the public so Marvel fans have so many things to look forward to.
Robert Downey Jr. will still portray the role of Tony Stark in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, the sequel that will tie up the Marvel Cinematic Universe "Avengers". Eventhough the sequel has not been released, Robert Downey Jr.'s contract also includes the next sequel, Avengers 3.
Rumors surrounding the third Avengers movie say that Iron Man will be the only original Avengers member left to star in the movie. Secondary Marvel universe characters will be joining Iron Man for the third movie. Captain America and Thor are rumored to be not included in the sequel because of the story lines of their upcoming movies, while the Hulk may be busy in another planet.
Avengers: Age of Ultron premieres next year, May 1, 2015.
