Super Smash Bros. 4 Update: 3DS With Unused Announcer Voice Clips
Super Smash Bros. 4 Update: 3DS with Unused Announcer Voice Clips
We all know now that the latest version of 3DS for the latest Super Smash Bros. was obstructed by the platform's hardware. Their attempt for a better developed game for it to run perfectly have resulted in some flaws. But it's also a blessing for the developers in another way. It's really great that the 3DS version exists because it means that Wii U version will be the best ever. But if they will also discover the secrets of the Smash Bros 3DS ROM, then they can use it to give Wii U a much more better version.
Some of the fans of the game discovered a set of unused announcer voice clips -- listen to them in the videos posted below. The audio clips mention some modes and features that doesn't even exists in the game. Some clips maybe left during the development stage of the game, like "Yellow Team" as a team color option or "The Champion Is..." as an alternative to the standard "The Winner Is..." victory declaration of the game.
Here's the full list of clips across both videos:
Boss Battle
Tourney
Yellow Team
Event Match
Grab the Coins
Special Smash
The Champion Is...
8-Player Smash
Choose a Mii
Special Orders
Master Orders
Crazy Orders
Ticket Selection
amiibo
Choose a Build
Smash World
Official Tourney
Clips in the released audio also includes "Event Match" which is a mode from Melee in which you play special scenarios with specific restrictions in the game, and it would be awesome if it made a return after skipping Brawl and 3DS. "Smash World" could easily be the console counterpart to "Smash Run" on 3DS.
"Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will remain, fundamentally, the same game even should these unused audio clips turn into Wii U content. The rosters are rumored to be the same while stages will vary slightly with the home console able to process more at once" according to Guardian Liberty Voice.
As they announced before, Smash Run is a 3DS exclusive as well and the Wii U modes have yet to be announced by Nintendo. Let's just see how the game will be looked like when it's released on Nov. 21 in the United States and on Dec. 5 in Europe.
