Once Upon A Time Season 4 Episode 3: David's new found skills taught by Anna help him to resolve the issue
"Once Upon A Time Season 4 earlier episodes introduced Elizabeth Mitchell as the Snow Queen, followed by the introduction of characters from Disney's "Frozen" in the premiere, "A Tale of Two Sisters." Princess Anna and Elsa, the queen of Arendelle who possesses cryokinetics powers, are now series regulars. The upcoming episode titled as, "Rocky Road " has promising mounting ice-related drama as an icy spell is cast on Marian (Christie Laing), and residents of Storybrooke blame Elsa, who is unaware that the villainous Snow Queen, running ice cream parlor, has the same powers her and is trying to frame her.
The second episode featured Elsa building an ice fortress around Storybrooke. She does this after she discovers Anna's neckalace at Rumpelstiltskin's pawnshop and decides to trap the town in until her sister, Anna, is found. This causes the town to lose power and forces Emma to investigate. When Emma, David and Hook found Elsa lurking behind the ice, Emma went to talk her. However, the approach of David and Hook unintentionally scared Emma, forcing her to create an ice cave enclosing her and Emma against David and Hook. Through her walkie talkie, Emma was able to give Elsa's demands to David of finding Anna or else.
A flashback to the Enchanted Forest showed David already met Anna when he was a lowly shepherd with a shaggy mane and before he becomes the Prince Charming. Anna's fiancé, Kristoff, sent her to David, expecting that he would help Anna as she sets out on an adventure to find out what happened to her parents. But, David has problem of his own, as he is visited by the swindler Bo Peep, who demands payment. Anna encouraged David to be brave and stand up to Bo Peeop, and she trains him in sword fighting. When Bo Peep tried to kidnap Anna, David came to her rescue using his newfound skills. After this, Anna left the farm and continued to her quest.
As David remembered this, he went to Little Bo Peep for help. He would not take no for answer as he does not want Emma to freeze. David and Hook managed to steal Bo Peep magical sheep staff and returnd to the wall to talk to Elsa and give her hope that Anna would be found. As Emma slowly freezes, she's able to encourage Elsa to create an exit with in the wall, allowing Emma to leave.
