Reign Season 2 Premiere, Spoilers And Episode 1 Ratings: Could The Series Reign Get Cancelled Due To The Very Low Viewership Statistics During Its Premiere Episode Of Season 2
We have the latest for you on the premiere, spoilers and episode 1 ratings of Reign season 2. Epic series have always been a fan favorite and Reign is no exception but it seems to have hit a rocky start in its second season. Reign season 2 premiered last week with the pilot episode entitled, "The Plague". According to International Business Times reports it would seem that fans may have forgotten about the season as it only had 1.3 million viewers tuned in to watch. Could this trigger a possible cancelation of the program? With such a low viewership statistics and according to previous occurrences, speculations have emerged that the show could get cancelled.
According to International Business Times report, this might change as the series directors tend to think that Reign season 2 will gain more viewers in the upcoming episode 2 titled "Drawn and Quartered" that will see the return of Francis to the castle with Lola and their son. In episode one of Reign season 2, we saw Francis unwilling to send Lola on a Voyage with his son once he held him in his hands. He decides to take them back to the castle with him which will certainly not do on Mary's perspective. Mary and Francis relationship has hit a bump and will go through a test as Mary is unable to get Pregnant. This and May's decision taken in the previous episode are definitely going to add to the tension.
While Francis was away, Mary became the leader of 'the Plague'. She rules with a lot of Power assertion as we see her ordering her guards to punish someone for killing his enemy's family. Lord Edward is thrown in a room among the infected be caused he used poison to kill his enemy's family. Yvette, member of Edwards family unfortunately died too after he took some water from their chamber. In the upcoming episode, Narcisse, Lord Edward's father will come to the castle seeking revenge for the death of his son. He puts the blame on Nostradamus. In a recent trailer of episode two of Reign, Francis orders Nostradamus to be taken away by the guards for further questioning on the matter at hand.
According to Cartermatt reports, the preview depicts a deadly punishment awaiting Nostradamus. It seems to fall onto Mary to save Nostradamus as his body is set to be torn apart by Horses. She is seen in the preview conversing with Francis and tells him, "This is my mistake. I'll fix it."
