Sherlock' Season 4: A Christmas Special
"Sherlock" fans should be excited with this good news. According to Mark Gatiss, the producer of the said hit show, the 4th season of "Sherlock" will have a closer air date than it was previously announced. Fans can now get reacquainted with their favorite show, and of course, Benefict Cumberbatch. According to rumors, Sherlock Season 4 is currently in the works. Different media sources also ascertained that the latest season of the popular detective series will be aired soon.
"Sherlock" is a contemporary excerpt from the classic detective set of Conan Doyle in London. Aside from Benedict Cumberbatch, fans can expect for more popular stars to appear in the show including Louise Brealey, Martin Freeman, Una Stubbs, Rupert Graves, Amanda Abbington, and Andrew Scott. Cumberbatch is an Emmy-award winning actor and his schedule is pretty much in demand. As a matter of fact, his busy schedule can partially explain the delay of "Sherlock" Season 4 air date.
Steven Moffatt, writer and director of the hit show Sherlock quoted that Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch are currently making their own movies. Even though people say that they do not care about the movies they are doing, they are still tied to their own commitments, so they have to set the schedule of taping the show around the schedule of the two actors.
The earlier reports stated that the "Sherlock" 4 air date is tentatively on or before the Christmas day. Rumors claim that the fourth season of Sherlock start with a Christmas special, even though the season 4 premier will be on the first weeks of January 2016. Also, rumors claimed that the show will have 3 episodes only at the time of the premier.
In the Sherlock Season 4, Freeman and Cumberbnatch play as Watson and Holmes with a serious and intense approach. The writer of the show stated that they are trying to bring Sherlock towards something that they haven't done before. Fans can expect that "Sherlock" Season 4 will have a darker climax.
