Sony had launched Sony Xperia Z3 in the month of September whereas HTC one M8 was launched in the month of March. And since their launch there has been a lot of speculation about the best option amongst them.

The display screen of HTC One M8 is 5' super LCD3 whereas display screen of Xperia Z3 is 5.2" IPS LCD display and 1080 x1920 pixels screen resolution. Xperia Z3 provides crystal clear image when compared with the HTC handset.

Design-wise HTC One M8 has classy looks. When we see Xperia Z3 it is most similar to its previous version that is Xperia Z2. It works on quad core processor. This is similar to the way HTC One M8 works as it also has the quad core processor. If we see the OS of both the phones than they both are similar as they function on Android v4.4.2 Kitkat. Another similarity in both the phones is in their internal storage.  Their internal storage is 16 GB and they are supported by microSD.

The weight of Sony Xperia Z3 is slightly lesser than HTC One M8. Xperia Z3 is 152 gms whereas HTC one M8 is 160 gms. The dimension of both the phones is almost similar. Sony weighs 146.50 mm x 72.00 x 7.30 whereas HTC One M8 is 146.36 x 70.60 x 9.35 mm. the battery capacity in terms of mAh is  3100 for Sony where as it is 2600 for HTC One M8.

Both phones are available in many colors. Xperia Z3 comes in Black, white, copper and Gold whereas HTC One M8 is available in Silver, Grey, Amber and Gold. Both the phones have touch screen that is too smooth.

The camera of Xperia Z3 is superior as it comes with 20.7 megapixel whereas the camera of HTC One 8 comes in 4 ultra-megapixel. Both the phones have front camera. Xperia Z3 has 2.2 mega pixel whereas HTC has 5- megapixel as its front camera.

Hence while deciding on buying a smart phone is it always wise to compare the features, design and functions of the phone.
