Game of Thrones Season 5 Latest News: Game of Thrones Season 5 will be introducing plenty of new content, and even some new characters to the mix
The Game of Thrones is one of the most impressive and watched television series available anywhere. Fans of the "Game of Thrones" novels by George R.R. Martin are excited to watch Game of Thrones Season 5. Game of Thrones Season 5 will be introducing plenty of new content, and even some new characters to the mix.
Apparently, Game of Thrones will see nine brand new characters introduced to the fantastical world. One such character is said to be played by Alexander Siddig (Kingdom of Heaven, Doomsday), though the production team for the show has not confirmed whether this is true or not. In fact, the team behind the show has not revealed who any of the upcoming nine new characters are in any capacity.
Siddig is said to play the role of Doran Martell, Oberyn Martell's older brother and rule of Dorne. He may, or may not, seek revenge for the death of his brother, as he was slain in the previous season during Tyrion Lannister's trial of combat. It was an epic scene to behold, but one that should be remembered and one that begs for a revenge sequence in the show.
Next, Lena Headey, known for portraying the evil queen Cersei Lannister, was seen during filming for her infamous nude scene.Images surfaced online of the Game of Thrones production team shielding the actress with umbrellas. This forthcoming scene is said to be one of the most critical scenes in Season 5 for Cersei.
Details have finally emerged about the filming of the scandalous episode , and it sounds like the scene will be even more intense than the books.
The scene in question comes from the novel "A Dance of Dragons" and involves a "walk of shame" for Cersei after trying to frame Margaery Tyrell for adultery. After being arrested, Cersei has her head shaved and is forced to make a penance walk -- in the nude -- from the Great Sept to the Red Keep.
Game of Thrones Season 5 will premiere in spring of 2015. Until then, enjoy some rumors and casting information.
