According to Christian Post, there are some leaks that originated from the Weibo account of a reseller and the leak suggested that the smartphone would come with a metal frame build. The QWERTY keypad of the smartphone stretches from one end of the phone to the other. The smartphone has a 3.5 inch screen display and 720720 pixel with a capacitative touchscreen and a pixel density of 291 ppi. The Blackberry Classic is said to be the thinnest smartphone that Blackberry will ever produce as it has the dimensions of 130mm.
As per an article by Christian Post, GSM Arena posted that under the hood, the smartphone will have a Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset and a dual-core CPU which can clock up to 1.5GHz. The smartphone will also have Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth and NFC enabled. Rumors have it that the smartphone comes with 2 GB RAM and a long lasting 2,525 mAh battery. So far, there is no information about the front and rear cameras of the smartphone, and the inclusion of HDMI port, but it is speculated that unlike other Blackberry phones, it will have a 13 megapixel rear camera. Although the prices of the smartphone in different regions are still unknown, Blackberry Classic is still expected to hit the shelves this November. According to Christian Today, the phone will have a built-in RAM and an expandable card slot which could accommodate up to 64 GB.
Although Blackberry has not been doing so well in the smartphones, the company is hoping that the Blackberry Classic will help them get back to the top of the market once more. It is expected that the smartphone will hit the shelves in November.
