Survivor Season 29 Episode 3 Spoilers and Preview: Hunahpu Tribe Leading; Coyopa Tribe's Nadiya and Val Already Eliminated from the Competition
"Survivor: San Juan del Sur - Blood vs. Water" is the twenty-ninth season of the CBS reality TV series which airs Wednesdays at the station's 8 PM time slot. Filmed in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, the show features pairs of loved ones competing against each other for continued survival in the game. The cast of contestants is composed of nine pairs of loved ones, with relationships which may include parent-child, siblings, and partners, both married and dating. For Survivor's 29th season, the list of contestants have John Rocker and his girlfriend Julie McGee, twins Nadiya and Natalie Anderson, boyfriends Reed Kelly and Josh Canfield, father and son Keith and Wes Nale, mother and daughter Missy Payne and Baylor Wilson, husband and wife Jeremy and Val Collins, sweethearts Jon Misch and Jacklyn Schultz, father and daughter Dale and Kelley Wentworth, and brothers Drew and Alec Christy.
On Day 1, the pairs of contestants were marooned separately on the island given only flint to survive the night. The next morning, they were gathered at Hero Arena, where they were split up into two tribes: Coyopa and Hunahpu. The tribes were immediately given their first reward challenge, to be completed by one representative per tribe. At the end of last week's episode, entitled "Method to This Madness," the Coyopa tribe is down with a score of 5-4 after having lost on their fourth consecutive challenge. Back at the camp, John attempted to secure an alliance with Val, who lied to him that she had two hidden idols that would keep herself and Jaclyn safe that night. John decided to look for the hidden immunity idol using Jeremy's information, which he found. John, still believing in Val's idols, organized a split vote between Val and Baylor with three men joining Jaclyn and Val in voting for Baylor, deemed untrustworthy after voting out Nadiya during the first episode. The two men joined an unsuspecting Baylor in voting for Val to flush one of Val's idols. At Tribal Council, Val and Jaclyn attempted to rally support against Baylor, whom they accused of playing both sides. However, Val was called out for falsely claiming to have two idols. Voting was split after one of the men switched sides to Val, resulting in a tie between her and Baylor. A re-voting was called, which finally resulted in Val being eliminated.
Survivor Season 29 episode 3 is entitled "Actions vs. Accusations" and it will be minus the two eliminated contestants - Val Collins, and Nadiya Anderson, who was the first to be voted out during episode 1.
