As iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 specs and release date rumors suggest on Daily Dot, "The Company is planning to hold its next event on Oct. 21, where it will unveil two new iPads (iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3)and announce the release of OS X Yosemite, the next version of its Mac operating system, according to sources familiar with the matter."

With 9.7 inch display and 2048 X 1536 resolution iPad Air has thinner bezels on the sides of the display and a narrower width overall. But the size of the display stayed the same. The beautiful display is more prominent than ever.

The iPad Air 2 will be providing many apps some of them are Newsstand app, pages app, keynote app, number app and many more.

iPad mini 3 will probably have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor like the one found on the iPhone 5s. It's also likely that the iPad mini 3 will have a new, more powerful A8 processor. iPad mini 3 has 7.9 in display with a 2048x1536 resolution that the iPad mini 2 offers. Apple will have to differentiate the new model to tempt users to upgrade.

The iPad mini 2 is currently available in 16-, 32-, 64- and 128GB storage options and this is likely to continue with the iPad mini 3. Will Apple add a microSD card slot? Unlikely.
