Avatar 2 News and Updates: James Cameron is making up an ocean ecosystem for Pandora

Once it was the 1997 film 'Titanic' who held the record of the highest grossing film to gross more $2billion worldwide. In 2009, James Cameron once again set the records with his new self-written and self-directed film 'Avatar' that grossed more than what 'Titanic' had.

And then currently, James Cameron plans to continue a sequel for the film in which we could expect Avatar 2 this 2016.

James Cameron actually is starting to think deep for the sequel of the highest grossing film of all time, not just for the second but perhaps for the third and fourth. Cameron also revealed that the sequels would mainly showcase much more of the oceans of Pandora.

"We're doing 'Avatar' films now, so we're making up an ocean ecosystem for Pandora. That's gonna have less to do with the deep exploration that I've done than it has to do with my concerns about conservation of Earth's oceans. The fact that we're basically overfishing, climate change... a few degrees of temperature rise are gonna basically take out the coral reefs. All those beautiful images of the coral environments we all grew up with won't exist in 50 years at the rate we're going in terms of pumping greenhouse gases into the environment. These are the things that concern me." says Cameron when asked by Coming Soon with his ideas for the upcoming underwater sequels and the Avatar 2 plot.

Following the confirmation, it was also said that it would still be impossible for the sequels to be released in 2015 since doing so is a hard thing to do. But one thing is for sure, we are to see Avatar 2 in 2016.
