'Chicago Fire' Season 3 Recap: Shay's Devastating Loss Leaves Everyone Mourning, Mills Tracks Down His Family History, Casey Proposes to Dawson
The drama series of NBC network premiered last Tuesday, September 23, 2014, under the executive producer Dick Wold and producers Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, and Matt Olmstead,.
Chicago Fire is an American television drama series, which centers on the lives of the firefighters and paramedics working at the Chicago Fire Department
Specifically featured in the series are the firehouse of Engine 51, Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, and Battalion 25.
In the last two episodes, each character presented their stories starting from the explosion incident.
Everyone at Firehouse 51 survives, after the apartment fire explosion. Peter Mills, however, suffered a broken leg. Shay died, leaving others mourning for her loss. Six weeks after the incident, many in the Firehouse have taken the death tough. Severide have been on leave following the incident. But now, he is AWOL. Suddenly, Casey finds him at his lodge. Severide confesses he was hesitant to comeback.
Casey keeps her clash with Lieutenant Welch at Truck 66 while Boden and his wife double dates with Mouch and Trudy. Hermann hopes to grow the Molly's brand and Peter receives information about the clan of his father.
The second episode reveals Severide's return to Firehouse 51 after Shay's death. Apparently, the guy is not in sound mind and just moves in with Casey and Dawson so as to muddle through his anguish. After that, Firehouse receives a call of a man. Peter Mills excavates further into his family's history while Hermann continues into expanding Molly's brand. Dawson, while practicing the drills for her candidacy, receives a surprise proposal from Casey which she accepts.
The members of the cast include Jesse Spences as Lieutenant Matthew Casey, Taylor Kinney as Lieutenant Kelly Severide, Cahrlie Barnett as Firefighter Peter Mills, Monica Raymond as Paramedic in charge Gabriela Dawson, Eamonn Walker as 25th Battalion Chief Wallace Boden, David Eigenberg as Lieutenant Chrisstipher Herrmann, Yuri Sardarov as Firefighter Brian 'Otis' Zvonecek, Joe Minoso a Firefighter/Chauffeur Joe Cruz, and Christian Stolte as Firefighter Randy 'Mouch' McHolland.
Recurring cast members include Jon Seda as detective Antonio Dawson of the Chicago Police Department, Jason Beghe as Detective Hank Voight, Sophia Bush as Detective Erin Lindsay, and Jesse Lee Soffer as Detective Jay Halstead.
