The Originals Season 2: Niklaus Step-Dad Mikael Spills the Beans on the Show's upcoming Season; Plus This Season will be full of Emotions

The highly anticipated Vampire Diaries spin-off is set to grace TV screens Monday next week, October 6. The Season will kick off with a bunch of mysterious flashbacks.

Many are in question now of what Niklaus Mikaelson's step-dad, Mikael, who was introduced on the third season of "The Vampire Diaries", was up to the whole time prior to what we have witnessed. Everybody knows Mikael's journey - which his romance hit the bumpy road (for he was cheated on a werewolf) and Klaus is not his real son.

Sebastian Roché, who will play Niklaus step-dad, said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "At the beginning of the season, he's still stuck in the attic with Davina, but he's trying to find ways, of course, to basically force her to free him, but you know of course she won't do that."

"He really is trying to free himself from these chains because Mikael wants to roam the world and get to his revenge as soon as possible. It does start there and you'll see what happens. It's going to be quite wonderful what happens in the rest of the series," he teases.

Moreover, he stated that the season will be full of emotions - this includes pain and vendetta - on the mindset of the "cruel character". There, he claimed that the family has to converse with Mikael and try to settle things. "It would be great! That would be so wonderful. Something of the kind would be interesting. I think it would be very, very emotionally charged and quite epic," he dishes.

Hmmm sounds an interesting The Originals Season 2 plot ahead.

The Originals Season 2 premieres on Monday, October 6 at 8:00 p.m. EST only on The CW.
