Transformers 5 Release Date, Reviews and Updates: Michael Bay, Mark Wahlberg and Shia are not Coming Back for Fifth Movie but Megan Fox might be
Michael Bay won't be back for the next installment of the Transformers. I do not know what it is with directors and their aversion to sequels nowadays. Antoine Fuqua also claimed that he would not be back for the next installment of Olympus has Fallen titled London has Fallen. Transformers have gone through four movies in the franchise since the debut of the first film in 2007. It just would not be Transformers anymore if Michael Bay is not there for the next film but it is what it is anyway. For the fifth film the fans should therefore expect a lot of changes especially starting with the cast.
As such, it is also rumored that Mark Walberg and Shia Lebouf may not be coming back for the next installment which is slated to release towards the end of 2016. This could mean a new male lead who is going to work with the autobots, and since the introduction and departure of Wahlberg, all bets are off as to who could be the next one on the block as the male lead. There are rumors that are claiming Josh Duhamel who was in the first two films could be the new male lead in the next film. Other rumors claim that a woman could be the best option as the one to help the autobots fight the decepticons this time with the reincarnation of Megatron.
In this case, all speculation would lead to Megan Fox as the choice for female lead especially after her stint in the first and second films. It is recalled that she did not star in the third movie, after she allegedly made some not so nice comments about Bay comparing him to Hitler. He is known to be very strict during filming. She claimed in an interview that she would love to come back for the next installment of the movie provided her schedule with the sequel to the reboot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" does not clash with the movie.
