The Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers: It Is Confirmed That Negan Will Appear On This Season
Is it official? Viewers are asking if "The Strain" star Kevin Durand will play the villain Negan began after speculations by introducing him to the series since the Governor was killed during season 4. We are now on a cliffhanger if the rumors will meet our reality.
The Canadian actor known for his roles in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and "Lost" was allegedly approached to play as the character and shared the news during his FX show, however, he later stated that he was only "approached", not yet official for playing Negan.
Since it is still tentative if Negan will appear on the fifth season, it is confirmed that a character will be introduced in season 5 and it is Father Gabriel. In early May the news broke out and it is the alum "The Wire" Seth Gilliam that is playing the role. They actually kept the identity secret as it is listed under the character of "Michael Todd". The fans of Robert Kirkman's comic book thanked him for the description of "Michael Todd" they unfolded it quickly. He is described as "having two sides, displaying a friendly, puckish humor, but also having a haunted side stemming from a dark secret."
In the previous season revealed that Terminus was not a sanctuary as it was built as. We are expecting that Terminus residents can be cannibals, but from the graphic novel we must expect worse. The coming of Father Gabriel has been just timely when Terminus was shown. In the novel, there is a group of "ruthless" survivors that has been dubbed as "The Saviors" and is led by Negan.
In the Season 5 trailers it is shown that Terminus will be merging with Rick to bring Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) to Washington D.C. It is possible that they will meet Negan on the road and that his character will not be shown until the second half of the season is aired. Do you think Durand will be playing Negan and will it be as villanous as the graphic novel character?
"The Walking Dead" Season 5 premieres on AMC on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. EDT.
