The Imitation Game Release Date: A Historical Thriller Movie is Coming out Soon on the Big Screen By Black Bear Pictures and Bristol Automotive, Coming in November!
French Based Production and Distribution Company Studio Canal plans to release a new movie titled "The Imitation Game", in November 29 in the United Kingdom and November 21 in the United States.
It is directed by Morten Tyldum with a screen play by Graham Moore. It is produced by Nora Grossman alongside Ido Ostrowsky and Teddy Schwarzman.
It recently premiered during the Telluride Film Festival last August 29.
The Imitation Game is based on the true story and biography of the well-known Computer Scientist Alan Turing. The biography was written by Andrew Hodges and is titled "Alan Turing: The Enigma". Alan Turing was the key figure who helped cracked Nazi Germany's Enigma code during World War 2.
It is a British-American historical thriller film produced by Black Bear Pictures alongside Bristol Automotive. Last February, the film was acquired by The Weinstein Company for US$7 million after a bid against five other studios. The upcoming movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch portraying the lead role Alan Turing.
Actress Keira Knightley is portraying Joan Clarke. Actor Matthew Goode is portraying Hugh Alexander. Actor Mark Strong is portraying Maj. Gen. Stewart Menzie. Actor Charles Dance is portraying Cdr. Alastair Denniston.
The story behind the film focuses on the main character, a computer scientist, mathematician and logician who, along with his team of code breakers, are racing against time to crack a Nazi code, during World War 2's darkest time. It portrays Turing's teenage life at a boarding school and fast forwards to the time when he invented the bombe machine that was capable of interpreting Germany's Enigma generated code.
Famous Actor Leonardo DiCaprio initially planned to star in the film portraying the main role after showing interest, but was later reverted. The Imitation Game recently won the People's Choice Award for Best Film at the 39th Toronto International Film Festival.
It is due for wide release in the United States on November 21, 2014 and United Kingdom on November 14, 2014!
