NBC’s A to Z: Milioti’s Take on Zelda, Just as Adorable as Her The Mother in “How I Met Your Mother”
NBC's A to Z: Milioti's Take on Zelda, Just as Adorable as Her The Mother in "How I Met Your Mother"
NBC's A to Z premiere date is set for October 2, Thursday at the 9:30 PM time slot, right after Bad Judge. But for those who can't wait for NBC's A to Z pilot to air on regular TV, Entertainment Weekly says the upcoming romantic comedy show can be streamed right now on Clear Channel Media and Entertainment digital properties and apps, along with NBC.com, the NBC app, Hulu, among others. The official NBC's A to Z trailer can also be watched at the NBC's A to Z IMDB site, Youtube, and other video hosting sites. Perez Hilton gushes that "the trailer for NBC's A to Z will make you believe in love at first sight!"
Created for TV by Ben Queen, NBC's A to Z stars Ben Feldman as Andrew Lofland, an employee at an internet dating site, and Cristin Milioti as Zelda Vazco, a no-nonsense lawyer but with a rebellious streak. By accident, some bug in the dating service's algorithm leads to a mismatch dating dispute that must be resolved, and in the process, creating an opportunity for Andrew and Zelda to meet. From that point, the TV series will be chronicling their relationship timeline "from A to Z." The chronicle will be narrated by Katey Sagal, a winner of a Golden Award for her role in Sons of Anarchy.
Creator Ben Queen told Channel Guide: "There's 26 episodes in a season. Some episodes are going to cover more than one letter, but what I thought was cool about the idea is that you can sort of comprehensively look at an aspect of a relationship from beginning to end." Executive producer Will McCormack promises, "This will be the best alphabetical relationship comedy ever." Actually, NBC's A to Z reviews based on the pilot have generally been favorable. Brian Lowry of Variety , in particular, says, "Charm is a relatively scarce commodity among this year's new comedies, and A to Z has it."
