What exactly is Utopia? The concept is simple yet complex, according to the official show summary: "Five acres of paradise, fifteen pioneers, and 126 remote cameras. The largest social experiment ever televised. This is not a game. There is no prize. This is UTOPIA...They've got limited supplies, wildly diverse backgrounds and zero bathrooms...Each pioneer brings a unique skill set and strongly held ideal to UTOPIA. A liberal lawyer, a Pentecostal preacher, a Casanova contractor, a Southern chef, an ex-con seeking redemption and a soon-to-be-mom are among those seeking to build this new society. With no existing power structures and limited amenities, these Utopians will be challenged with rewriting the rules. They will be asked to question and rethink many of the fundamental values of our current culture: morality, law, sex and religion. Will they choose democracy or dictatorship?
