True Detective News 2014: McAdams Got the Lead Female Role, Justin Lin Directed Two Episodes, Release Date Not Yet Confirmed
Based on Variety's report HBO already offered the lead role for the female character on its second season to Rachel McAdams. She was the known to be the likeliest option to have the role. Taylor Kitsch was also the fourth lead role next to McAdams, Colin Farrell, and Vince Vaughn.
Aside from the lead roles given to McAdams, Farrell, Vaughn, and Kitsch there are still many things you need to know about 'True Detective', but there are still some details that are not yet ready to be disclosed. One from the many questions and considered as the biggest and common question of viewers and interested parties is its release date.
It was January this year when the series was wrapping up for their first season which was released last March the same year. Now, this time viewers especially the fans of the said series are getting excited about what will happen this second season. The fans are demanding to air the series as soon as possible, but that's the major problem because even up to this moment no premiere date yet is announce.
Anyway, HBO announced that True Detective Season 2 will be having eight great episodes. They shoot it in California and Justin Lin directed the two of eight episodes of this new season. HBO released the series' official logline for this second season: "Three police officers and a career criminal must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder."
