We have the latest for you on the release date, specs, price, leak and Motorola rumors of the Nexus 6. The Nexus 6 or Nexus X smartphone which comes with the codename Motorola Shamu is speculated to be Google's next flagship which will launch next month with Android L running it. Many tech sites have been referring Google's next flagship as the Nexus 6. However, it is more likely that Google will name it Nexus X.
As for the release date, although there has been very little information from Google, the senior vice president, Sundar Pichai said that Google would not release its new device in the first half of the year, and since it has not yet been released, it is expected that it could be released in either October or November. Many fans expect that the new Nexus X will be released alongside the newest version of Android; Android L. The release date is rumored to be either 15th or 16th October.
The upcoming Nexus device is expected to be manufactured by Motorola. Motorola is said to have partnered with Google for the Nexus 6 hence the Codename Motorola Shamu. According to IBT, the upcoming Nexus 6 will have the following specs: a 5.5-inch screen QHD display, 14402560 screen resolution and a pixel intensity of 534ppi, an octa-core MediaTek 64-bit processor, a fingerprint scanner and it is rumored to have IP67-certified dust-proof and water-resistant feature. All the specs are rumors as Google has not given a word about the specifications of the device. However, the fans expect the new Google flagship will have all these specs.
About the OS of the upcoming phone, it is rumored that it will run the latest version of Android, the Android L. There are however, some latest leaks from TK Tech news which say that the upcoming Android version will be known as Android 5 Lemon Meringue as opposed to the previously thought Android Lollipop. Quite a lot has been said about the upcoming device from Google but it is important to note that there is no official information from Google meaning that all these are speculations.
