The end of season One, The Originals saw the return of Esther Mikaelson (mother to Klaus, Elijah and Rebecca), Mikael (who is hell bent on killing Klaus) and one of the Mikaelson's siblings suspected to be Finn.
The return of the founding father of the Mikaelson family Mikael who is played by actor Sebastian Roche is one of the most exciting highlights of the new season, the Originals season 2. Mikael portrays the Original Vampire hunter in the previous season. In an interview he teased explaining what his character is expected to face in the upcoming season 2.
He is under the control of Davina (Danielle Campbell), the witch who brought him back from the dead to take revenge upon Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan). While on E! Online, Roche revealed that he knew he wasn't done portraying Mikael even though in Season 3 of The Vampire Dairies lead to him meeting his death in the hands of his Hybrid son, Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan).
"When you have Originals in the title and you're Papa Original, I knew that eventually I was going to pop my head in," Roche said while in the interview. He was all smiles while being interviewed. Roche further explained that while his character appears in the first five episodes, fans should expect this to be filled with thrill and intense action in the scenes. These first five episodes one should expect to experience the confrontations between Mikael and his sons Klaus and Elijah (Daniel Gillies).
"Mikael has this thousand year old rage and desire for revenge on his sons," says Roche. He said that behind all that rage he depicts, season 2 will show another side of him, that fans will get to see through a set of flashbacks that are incorporated in the season. There is more to Mikael than meets the eye.
In a series of unfortunate events, Mikael has found himself under full control of Davina, the witch who resurrected him. Roche explained that in this new season, the Mikael-Davina relationship is very interesting as she has tamed the original vampire hunter.
Original premieres on THE CW on October 6th at 8 p.m. ET.
