"Jane the Virgin" Season Premiere Date, Spoilers: Will Rafael fall in love with Jane?
Out with the sexy vampires, superheroes, and supernaturals. In with the dramedy! CW network presents "Jane the Virgin", a new TV series with an edgy title and a twisted plot. "Jane the Virgin" is based on a Venezuelan telenovela Juan La Virgen.
A show that will make you ask what is really important. The series is about the life of Jane (Gina Rodriguez), a religious girl who had a great life plan. She dreams to become a teacher and a writer. To fulfill this, she works in a new Miami hotel. But alas, the plan turned upside down when she was accidentally artificially inseminated. Shocked and confused, Jane must make big decisions - decisions that will change her life forever! Keeping the baby means following her mother's footstep and disappointing her grandmother Alba (Ivonne Coll). Her mother Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) became an unwed mother at age sixteen. Old-fashioned Alba insists that she protect her virginity at all cost. And how will her fiancée Micheal (Brett Dier) understand? Good old Michael insisted she stay pure until their wedding day. Oh yes! Life can really throw you a curve ball. And to make matters worse, the biological father Rafael (Justin Baldoni) starts to fall in love with Jane. In spite of their age difference and a wife! But conniving Petra (Yael Grobglas) will do anything to stop that from happening. Oooops, let's not forget, Rafael is Jane's employer! "Jane the Virgin" captures the twists and turns of a classical telenovela. It will make you laugh and cry at the same time. Some teenagers might even be able to empathize with the main character. And the latest good news? Because the pilot episode of the TV show got great reviews, CW network is preparing for the second part of the season. They have three new scripts to present for the show. So watch out for some more drama and comedy from Xiomara, Alba , Rafael, Petra ,Michael ,Rogelio and Jane. Move over Ugly Betty, it's "Jane the Virgin's" time to shine. Capture the newest series directed by Brad Siberling. "Jane the Virgin" premieres Monday, October 13.
