'Magic Mike XXL' Latest News and Cast Update: Jada Pinkett-Smith the Latest Addition to 'Magic Mike XXL'

It is confirmed! Jada Pinkett-Smith is the latest female cast to join "Magic Mike XXL." Pinkett-Smith revealed that her role was originally intended for a guy and she thanked co-screen writer Channing Tatum and director Gregory Jacobs, for deciding to cast a female instead. The actress said on "The Queen Latifah Show," "Yes, you know, Channing and Gregory and Warner Bros. really took a chance. There was a character written for a male that they wanted to turn into a female."

Pinkett-Smith declined to discuss more about her role on "Magic Mike XXL," but she did confirm one thing, she will not strip on the movie. There had been reports that Pinkett-Smith is going to play the role of a club owner.

At least two other female were confirmed to be joining the movie "Magic Mike XXl" - Amber Heard and Andie McDowell. No details about what part Hears and McDowell are going to play in the movie. Actors Matt Bomer, Gabriel Iglesias, and Joe Manganiello are going to join "Magic Mike XXL." It was also confirmed that Matthew McConaughey will not reprise his role in the latest installment of Magic Mike. It is not yet confirmed if Alex Pettyfer is going to reprise his role as Adam "The Kid."

"Magic Mike" is loosely base on Channing Tatum's experience when he was a stripper. "Magic Mike XXL" was described by Tatum as a "crazy and fun road trip movie."

When asked if she's feeling nervous about being on set surrounded by "scantily clad" actors, the answer is an outright no. She even joked about it and reminded everybody that she's living with Will Smith. It seems that actress Pinkett-Smith is going to be the latest addition to an elite club of "take-charge actresses" such as Angelina Jolie for the movie "Salt" and Sigourney Weaver in a role she played in the movie "Alien." She is also playing the role of a "mob boss" in the new Batman TV series "Gotham."
