The Homeland season 4 premiere is coming in fast and the political television series is highly anticipated by fans everywhere. Of course, with a cliffhanger in the previous season's finale, fans are hanging by the edge of their seats hoping to know what's going to happen to Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes, and Saul Berenson, portrayed by Mandy Patinkin.

One of the widely known Homeland season 4 spoilers that have been going about the Internet is that the first episode will find our Carrie trying to get over the loss of Nicholas Brody, played by Damian Lewis, last season. Furthermore, she will be stationed in Afghanistan as the new CIA Station Chief and to make matters worse, her first case involves an accidental drone attack where civilian casualties are found to be at a children's party. The first episode's name is The Drone Queen. Quite a tell-tale isn't it?

Alex Gansa, the show's executive producer, promises fans that Homeland season 4 will go back to its roots - that is focusing on a story filled with action, intrigue, thrills and conspiracies. Most scenes were filmed in Kabul, Afghanistan and Islamabad, Pakistan.

Returning Homeland season 4 characters will be Andrew Lockhart, played by Tracy Letts; Peter Quinn, played by Rupert Friend; Virgil, played by David Marciano and Sandy Backman, played by Corey Stoll.

Fans will also be delighted to know that on the Homeland season 4 premiere, they will be greeted with two episodes instead of one. There will be 12 episodes all in all for this season.

Homeland season 4 premiere date is slated to launch on October 5.
