Google Nexus 6 Release Date, Price, Specs, Features And Rumors: The Upcoming Nexus 6 Has Been Benchmarked Under Its Codename, Motorola Shamu, Revealing Lots Of Specs Of The Upcoming Google Phone
We have the latest for you on the release date, price, specs, features and latest rumors of the Google Nexus 6. We have to admit that the Nexus 6 is one of Google's flagships that have been very highly anticipated. The Nexus smartphones have always been great as they run on 'pure' android it has been a very good way to get the full OS and getting the latest updates also.
We start off with the specs of the Nexus 6. There are benchmark results which have leaked. The upcoming Nexus 6 has been benchmarked under its codename, Motorola Shamu. Together with the benchmark results, there was also a leak of the specs of the Nexus 6. The Nexus 6 will run on the latest version of Android, Android L and it will have a 5.2-inch display with 2560*1440 pixel screen resolution. It will feature a quad-core processor and a 3GB memory. The Nexus 6 will have a storage of 24GB and a 12-megapixel rear camera plus a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Nexus 6 is expected to have a Snapdragon 800 processor and if so, it is rumored to perform almost identically to the Sony Xperia Z2, S5, HTC One M8 and Oneplus One. The test revealed that the Nexus 6 will not have a QHD screen which makes a1080p resolution more probable.
One feature that we expect the Nexus 6 to take over from the Nexus 5 is the wireless charging where you just place you phone on a flat surface and have it charging without having to plug in some cables. As we well know, Google always partners with other companies to manufacture its products and this time the Nexus 6 is no exception. The Nexus 6 will be manufactured by Motorola, thus the codename Motorola Shamu. The upcoming phone has been named "Nexus X" by a US retailer, Best Buy listing which also revealed some specs about the next flagship, including that it will have a 5.9-inch screen display. This got many customers thinking that it will be a Motorola phablet. The big question is: is Nexus X the upcoming Nexus 6? If so, it would make a lot of sense especially due to the size of the screen display.
Although it has not been announced, from the history of the releases from Google, a November release is very likely, either in late October or early November. As for the design, since the phablet is being manufactured by Motorola, it might be that the phone will materially look similar to the Moto X. Although it is hard for one to predict the price; we know that the Nexus line-up is usually of high value. The Nexus 5 was launched at a price of £299 for the 16GB version; this means that the Nexus 6 will be probably be more expensive. It is important to note that there has been no official information from either companies.
