FOX's Gotham Premiere Date, Spoilers: The Early Days of Batman Are Ready For The Grand Premiere
The new series Gotham, which is based on the early days of Batman is ready for the grand premiere on Monday 22nd September on Fox. With all booked time slots for The Bing bang Theory, Dancing with the Stars, and The Originals all Batman fans were curious to know about the time slot of the new Gotham television series.
The series is based on the pre-Batman Gotham focusing on Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Detective Bullock (David Mazouz). For Batman fans, who were hibernating since the last Batman movie and are awaiting the upcoming flick Batman Vs Superman, there a is reason to rejoice. They will see how their favorite character Bruce went on to develop his alter ego into a super hero and savior of Gotham city.
The new Gotham series will also focus on the origin of the popular villains and enemies of the future Batman including, the Catwoman, Riddler and Penguin. The synopsis of the pilot episode of the Batman prequel series says : "Rookie detective James Gordon battles villains and corruption in the premiere of this action-adventure series set in pre-Batman Gotham City."
The second episode of the debut series is titled 'Selina Kyle'and will reportedly focus on the Catwoman and a major child trafficking racket. The Gotham series premiere airs on Monday, 22 September on Fox. The second episode of the series will air on 29 September.
With Gotham easily ranking at the top of the season's most anticipated shows, Fox has not skimped on promotion for the series, which stars McKenzie, Donal Logue, Jada Pinkett Smith, and a slew of newcomers. The Gotham series has came up with the fictional news paper called The Gotham Chronical.
