Much-Awaited The Conjuring 2 Movie Release Date and Other Latest News; Warner Bros Faces Lawsuit Filed by Evergreen Media Studios About the Warren Case Files Usage
It seems that the road through The Conjuring 2 movie production isn't going as smoothly as planned.
The sequel to The Conjuring true story has been through a roller coaster ride especially since news of leaked screenplay and stolen script. In addition to that, Warner Bros was also filed with a lawsuit because allegedly, the studio wasn't able to compensate Evergreen Media Studios, to whom the usage license for the contents of the Warren files which were used in The Conjuring belongs. According to reports, it appears that the dispute is still ongoing, though worry not, Conjuring fans, because it also seems like Warner Bros isn't backing down with the movie production and premiere in spite of a film lawsuit pending for now.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will both be reprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren, the infamous, real-life American paranormal investigators and writers who both have been famous in the mid and late 1900's due to their association with various prominent cases of haunting and supernatural occurrences. Wilson, who also stars in Insidious (also by Director James Wan) will play as Ed, a self-proclaimed demonologist alongside his wife Lorraine-portrayed by Farmiga-a professed clairvoyant and light trance medium.
In growing anticipation of the very much-awaited The Conjuring 2, the franchise will also be releasing Annabelle, a spinoff movie set to premier in October of this year. The film is about an expecting wife whose family life is threatened by the dangerous Annabelle doll.
The Conjuring 2 is scheduled to be released on October 23, 2015.
