Bug infects Apple's iOS 8 HealthKit: Developers working on the fix
A crucial bug has been identified in Apple's HealthKit. This bug is causing some errors in some features in fitness and health apps. HealthKit is a new addition to iOS 8, which is used to keep information of user's heath conditions such as the amount of burning calories, rate of heart beat, blood pressure, blood group, blood sugar etc. Apple announces that this app can directly share blood pressure with user's health doctor. This app will come very handy to maintain a perfect diet chart as well.
Recently Apple found a bug in the whole system and they have decided to hold back until the solution is found. So the revolutionary addition regarding health apps is delayed and the compatible apps, which were about to be launched on Wednesday, are delayed.
Apple Company has assured that they have taken the issue seriously on account and are going to fix the bug with new software update. The company has also added that there is a possibility to release the HealthKit app by the end of the month.
The plan of releasing HealthKit along with another feature on Wednesday didn't go as planned. The developer Brian Mueller tweeted on Wednesday "Just want today to be over with." So the fans have to wait.
HealthKit app is separate from health app introduced in iOS8. HealthKit basically provides user the freedom to check the dashboard of their fitness and health information.
The HealthKit apps bug has slowed down the motion of Apple since the company was trying to push the high tech health and fitness app. Apple is trying to spread this feature in other devices as well. The Apple smart watch also have sensors for tracking burned calories and fitness data as well which can be synched to the users iPhone. So the consumers can expect this brand new iOS 8 feature, as soon as it is fixed.
