OS 8 Release Date: How About Opting For Upgrade
iOS 8 was recently launched on Sept. 17, 2014. Apple is happy to inform you that you can download the operating system to your iPhone and iPad. If you decide to upgrade your iOS 8, then read on.
Upgrading your iOS 8 is very easy. You need to have a notification that will inform you that a new version of iOS is ready for download; a confirmation from you is all you need to have before you do this. Just download and install the new operating system. The whole process will take you couple of hours to finish it. However, it depends on the amount of time, traffic and how good does Apple copes with it.
If you didn't get any notification, just look at the Settings app and look for any updates. Search for the Settings app icon, and then click it. After that, scroll down and find the General category. Tap the Software Update option, which will incidentally have a gray "1" if there is an update to you. Usually, you have to wait for at least two days before you upgrade. In this way, you can avoid too much rush.
One of the downfalls of upgrading is that, it will be difficult for you to downgrade to your previous OS. There are some people who are caught out in upgrading their OS and find themselves unable to return back to its original OS.
Oftentimes, the latest version of iOS 8 means that developers should release new version of apps. While you can have the time in updating your apps after you upgrade to iOS 8, there is nothing wrong to do an initial update session. Chances are, you have to update some apps once you upgrade your OS, but you should get an excellent iOS 8 now.
iOS will give you a moment and gives you an update. This includes the amount of storage and space needed. You may clear space before you can start downloading. There is a link to "Learn more" article that will tell you regarding the changes. Just confirm and follow the steps.
