'Sleepy Hollow' News 2014: Sleepy Hollow Airs 18 Episodes this Season; Goffman Reintroduces the Series
Sleepy Hollow News 2014: Sleepy Hollow Airs 18 Episodes this Season
After 8 months of siesta, Sleepy Hollow is finally back! Sleepy Hollow returns on Monday, 9 ET/PT.
"We really worked hard to find an opening story that was going to pay off all of the insanity that we had in Season 1, where we left our (characters) in true cliffhangers where their lives are in jeopardy," Mark Goffman, executive producer said. Sleepy Hollow is next in line to Gotham. Hence, Goffman said they need to introduce the show in a way that even if viewers haven't got the chance to watch the first season they can still understand the story, "in such a way that if you've never seen the show before, you can catch up quickly."
The main stars of the series are Tom Mison as a colonial soldier named Ichabod Crane based on Washington Irving's classic short story, and Nicole Beharie as detective Abbie Mills. The show, of course, involves the Headless Horseman as well as other monsters and some of historical figures like Benjamin Franklin to be played by Timothy Busfield.
Sleepy Hollow is actually a top TV series averaging about 11.2 million viewers. Last time, the series had 13 episodes but this season will have 18. Right at this moment, the show is already halfway through its production. They are filming the show in North Carolina where the studio is filled with replicas including the colonial period tavern, updated police department, hallway of asylum, and underground tunnels.
