Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Game Release Date, Reveals, Reviews, and Plot Rumors: Weapons and other Gameplay Options Explored
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is an upcoming 2014 first person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision (Square Enix in Japan). The game is set to be the eleventh instalment in the Call of Duty series and the first development primarily by Sledgehammer games after Neversoft was merged into Infinity Ward in May 3 of 2014.The game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 4, 2014. However, Sledgehammer Games will not be developing the game for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Instead High Moon Studios will responsible for developing game on the two platforms.
The game is set on a 2054 world where an organization known as the KVA initiates the first global terrorist attack in history by simultaneously destroying the nuclear reactors of developed countries around the globe, including the United States. This renders many countries' military and government infrastructures including electricity devastated and incapable of fighting the threat posed by the KVA. Due to this the private military corporation have become the dominant armed forces for countless nations and are expected to represent the first line of defence against the new threat. The game's storyline focuses on a former U. S. Marine who joins the world's most powerful private military company with the most advanced technologies on the planet. The one executing clandestine operations across the globe for the highest bidder will be Jonathan Irons, (Kevin Spacey).
Advanced Warfare like other Call of Duty titles, is presented in a first person shooter perspective. However the game features several changes, unlike other instalments, Advanced Warfare does not use a traditional heads-up display instead all information is relayed to the player via holographic projections from the weapon equipped. Although the general gun-play remains unchanged, there are new machines that have been introduced. For example certain guns will recharge slowly, forcing the player to take cover and stay there for a certain period of time to gain ammo for the weapon. The player will also be able to switch between different types of grenades whilst holding one with the shoulder buttons.
