Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5: Old, New Cast Members Getting Along Well, Until Brandi Glanville Punched Kim Richards During Shooting
With Season 4 having wrapped in April, shooting for the next season is now already in full swing says Bravo Watch. "We're still filming. We're right in the thick of it. I think it's going to be a very exciting season. There's some new people on the show that we already have existing relationships with," Kyle Richards told People. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 premiere may air by January next year according to Bustle.
Aside from Kyle Richards, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 cast will have Lisa Vanderpump, Brandi Glanville, Yolanda Foster, and Kim Richards returning back on the show. However, Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Giraud who joined the franchise during Season 4 won't be seen again for Season 5. Sources told TMZ, that the two were "just not involved enough in the series' storylines to justify their coveted spots in the cast." The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 will also have two newcomers and one returning Season 3 regular.
The Bravo series has tapped "Young and the Restless" and "Days of Our Lives" actress Eileen Davidson as a new Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 cast member says The Wrap. Davidson will be joining former "Days of Our Lives" co-star Lisa Rinna who was earlier added to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality TV show for its fifth season. Adrienne Maloof, who left the show in 2013 after three seasons, will also be returning for cameo appearances on the upcoming fifth season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills according to US Weekly. She said, "I'm coming back, also, a bit wiser. I know what to expect now. There were some unfinished situations that I felt the need to kind of mend and come full circle."
The old and new members of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 cast have reportedly been getting along well during the shooting for the episodes, a Bravo insider who's privy to production goings-on reportedly told Radar Online. But are they? Kyle tells People, "What does getting along really mean around here? I guess you'll just have to tune in and see. I think a lot of people are going to want to see what happens with old relationships, some are attempting to mend, some are mending and some, you know, I don't think will ever be mended."
One such relationship which may be hard to mend is that between Kyle's sister Kim and their cast mate Brandi. Kim and Brandi started as enemies, then they became friends. Now it seems they're back to becoming enemies again. According to a scoop from Dish Nation, Brandi went after Kim with "fists blazing" during shooting and that "the entire incident was caught by the Bravo cameras." As gathered by the gossip sheet from an undisclosed insider source, the two "were arguing when Kim decided to hit below the belt and started talking smack about Brandi being a drunken loser. That did it, Brandi just lost her mind and went after her. She rushed her and started punching and swinging at Kim."
Reality Tea however believes that "this fight was staged (either with producer collaboration or between Brandi and Kim) for story lines...And Kim has no storyline to speak of and as her contract ends this year, she's probably completely done for after this season unless she comes up with something..."
Brandi herself confirmed that a brawl on the set happened. She tweeted: "Just pray pray I don't go to jail for physical violence...I need to sleep but my head is spinning from crazy crazy rhobh drama." She however also tweeted "Not true" to an inquiry as to whether she really attacked Kim. But then again, Brandi's book which is No. 1 on the New York Times' e-List and No. 2 on Amazon's Biographies & Memoirs Bestsellers is entitled "Drinking and Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders" and it is still paying her big.
