Nexus 8 latest news: HTC to manufacture the tablet?
It looks like Google has made a deal with HTC to manufacture Nexus 8. Although there is still no official announcement from Google, "some smart people found legal documents that talked about the tablet in an unofficial capacity," according to Air Herald.
It is said that Nexus 8 will be called HTC Nexus 9 according to the legal documents, and has a third quarter 2014 release date. This means that anytime next month, Nexus 8 release date is a go! Or perhaps the early quarter of 2015.
Pricing details is still unconfirmed.
Nexus 8 specs may involve: NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, it could either have a 1440p or 1600p screen resolution, will be running on Android L and more specs to come as we gather more details on this supposed exciting release.
With the poorly selling Nexus 10, Google is set to replace this tablet by Nexus 8. Nexus 10 has not been updated nor refreshed since it was introduced two years ago. Google's tablet of choice these days is Nexus 7, until we see the new Nexus 8.
Android L is supposed to be released sometime this year too, so that would make sense since Nexus 8 will also carry the newest Android version.
In line with this, we will keep you posted on the exciting Nexus 8 release date as soon as we get accurate details.
