True Detective Season 2 Cast Rumors: Mainstream actors change courses to the small screen? Season 2 Cast Ensemble might just be the most exciting line-up this year!

The casting situation with True Detective Season 2 is getting better and better at the moment. Some rumored actors have confirmed their involvement and fans are excited to see mostly these mainstream actors change their courses to the small screen.

To start with, Zero Dark Thirty's Jessica Chastain has confirmed that she will not be involved in the project, although she was one of the few original actors that were being considered.

Horrible Bosses' Colin Farrell, on the other hand, is said to still be "in" and Comedian Vince Vaughn, the recently rumored male actor is somewhat still in the positive zone.

The Normal Heart's Taylor Kitsch, has no movement yet, so the rumor is still hanging in the air. Mockingjay's Lieutenant Jackson - Michelle Forbes, is the strong contender to be the other female lead. Previous news reports that True Detective Season 2 cast, specifically the leading casts, would include two males and one female. Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss is the rival to Forbes on the female cast category.

Recent True Detective Season 2 rumors mention that The Notebook's Rachel McAdams is also a strong candidate.

These are just the frontrunners for the cast. Others being mentioned may include Ewan McGregor and Christian Bale.
