The Winds of Winter Release Date: George R.R Martin Explained Cause of Delay
It is George R.R Martin who is the brain behind the best-selling book A Song on Ice and Fire with HBO adaptation entitled Game of Thrones explained the reasons behind why there is a little interruption to the releasing of the Winds of Winter book. He explained that he is under a lot of pressures coming from the demanding and obsessed fans of both movie and book series. Well, he is just human being and a writer. There really comes a time that he will say hey! What's the fuss all about? Can you just let me write the book and wait for the release of it? We can't blame him afterall, most especially if the fans are demanding too much from the writer and they dictate what does gonna happen. Sometimes if you are a writer, you also want to feed your fans until they are full satisfied. But at the end of the day, you will also feel tired and the least thing you'll know you turned out to be a puppet and your book is not anymore a fruit of your imagination and passion, but dictation and shallowness.
Maybe that's what Martin feels. He wants to have a peace of mind and keep track of his own story and characters. With several characters on his books as well as scenes, he needs to make his facts detailed and straight. Based on the interview, Martin needs to scan back and check the details of each character before he can continue writing about them. Moreover, he also shared that even up to this moment he is still using DOS OS with WordStar 4.0. Still a primitive unit, he honestly admitted, but hey! The program is still very useful and it serves its purpose great and outstandingly like it has search and replace utility that he until now uses when he needs to search for a certain character and needs to mention it again. Because of more and more added characters and so much to think about, Martin thinks and feels that he is like drowning out not to include fans, rumors, demands, and many more to think about.
Martin has able to draw a sort chart or something like a family tree, but more than that he has all these on his mind. Winds of Winter is expected to be released on 2015 and on the same year is the next book.
